This is the BTPodshow home page of Andy Taylor.

I'm a relatively normal individual who hails from the cotton mill town of Bolton. I cling to a faint hope that people know about Big Sam, Peter Kay, Vernon Kay or Sara Cox, all of whom hail from this wonderful town. However I'm also resigned to the fact that I will have to constantly say "Near Manchester" and that Warburtons Bread is probably the most famous thing to ever have come out of Bolton.

Against my will I was kidnapped and taken to a place down the M6 and the M1. I was originally concerned that I didn't have my passport with me and I'm, now even more determined to turn the M6 Toll into an internal passport control.

Having lived in the south east for nearly 5 years I'm still surprised that no-one ever talks to me (and I'm sure this isn't personal!) and that I hardly know any of the 11 other residents in my block of flats.

In a pathetic effort to engage in some form of human conversation, and as a cry for help, I resorted to recording an Audio Podshow having listened to one that a colleague had produced. Thus The Rantings of a Northern Bloke (ROANB) was born.

Earlier this year, in something similar to a mid-life crisis, I vowed to lose 2 stone to reach a weight of 12 1/2 stone. I also decided to go running and subject myself to public scrutiny by posting my distances and times in the blog and audio rantings.

I recently bought a new laptop with a built in camera. This has provided me with another outlet to bore those who may have avoided my first attack. Thus The Video Rantings of a Northern Bloke (ROANB) was born.
